The first time we use a new substance, it must first be added to our company-specific database in Almego. We&#8217;ll first access the substance menu. The first step is to search the ECHA inventory for available classifications. We then simply choose and import the classification needed. Now we look for national exposure limits in the countries that we want to make the SDS document for. We check if any special legislation applies to the substance. Now we can simply validate the substance, thus making the substance ready to be used in mixtures. Once we&#8217;re happy with the substance, we can move on to the mixture level. We then access this through the mixture menu in Almego. We will then name the mixture and proceed. Here we specify the composition of the mixture, and for the purposes of this demo, we&#8217;ll add two substances to the composition. All validated substances and raw materials can be used. On the lower left-hand side of the screen, you can see a preliminary calculation of the classification. Next step is providing additional information about the mixture. This is done in different panels. For instance, relevant EUH phrases that cannot be chosen by logic or calculation. Also recommended personal protection gear. But after completion, you can then simply validate the mixture in a few simple steps. Here we also see the P-phrase proposed by Almego&#8217;s algorithms. Once the mixture level is completed, we can move on to the documents. And this is the third and final step in creating the actual SDS document. We access through the document menu. Now this screen looks a little overwhelming, but it&#8217;s a very effective page to keep easy track of all your documents. We just select the product and check off the language version as needed. Now we can create drafts with the click of a button. Now we&#8217;re able to view a draft in a PDF version and review it before approving. By clicking approve, we add the document to the company&#8217;s subscription and voila, we now have a fully approved safety data sheet ready for distribution.
