To continue the success of our sales teams based in Birmingham, the Sales Leader will be chartered with managing, developing, and further scaling the team in conjunction with the Senior Sales Manager for U.K & Ireland. The ideal candidate thrives on living in the trenches with the team and is not afraid to get on the phone to help close a deal, as well as using strategy to bring the team to the next level.

Job Description

The Sales Leader is responsible for leading, coaching and growing 5+ team focused on direct B2B sales. They will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the group and developing tactics to ensure efficient and effective implementation. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced (ideal B2B SaaS) sales environment with relatively short sales cycles and high-growth expectations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, you’ll recruit, manage and grow a team of inside sales executives
  • Working cross-functionally with other departments to communicate the needs of our customers and their product requirements
  • Managing through metrics: both for reporting business results and directing coaching and training efforts
  • Implementing optimal organization, process, and tactics to maximize close rates and revenue from each salesperson’s book of business
  • Effectively communicate, formally and informally, up and down the organization
  • Actively participating in high-value sales calls, and coaching performance in the moment
  • Demonstrating an exceptional understanding of how to motivate an inside sales team and achieve a consistent level of intensity and focus

Who You Are:

  • You’ll hold a bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, or another related discipline
  • You’ll come with 2+ years management experience of B2B inside sales teams, ideally related to SaaS or subscription-based products
  • You’ll have a deep understanding of sales methodology
  • You have a track record of success and achievement in Sales and other pursuits
  • Your experience selling software-as-a-service or other internet/technology subscriptions is a strong plus
  • You’ll be an effective user of technology tools, including CRM, to improve sales performance
  • You’re an ambitious sales leader committed to the success of his/her team
  • Your customer-management ability fosters highly-satisfied dealer and partner relationships
  • A background in Health & Safety would be a plus
