Lisbon Valley reduces administrative time spent by 79%
CHALLENGE
Workplace inspections were turned in daily & copies were made for various managers and stored in file drawers, creating an overload of paperwork. Moreover, if
there was a hazard identified, there was no process in place for ensuring it was mitigated.
In addition, there was no process in place for documenting corrective actions, assigning them to the appropriate person and tracking them to completion.
RESULTS
Lisbon Valley Mining Co. has significantly reduced their paperwork, improving efficiency and creating transparency. They have also been able to put processes in place, enabling them
to increase employee engagement.
Supervisors are easily able to track inspections performed, as they can document deficiencies and assign them to someone to be corrected. By implementing a process for corrective actions,
employees are able to find out that hazards are dealt with and are empowered to find and document corrective actions.
