When Caroline Sørensen Singam took on the role of Head of ESG and Product Compliance in 2025, she stepped into a significantly expanded brief. Her team of four, comprising three chemical engineers and herself, is responsible for maintaining and creating Safety Data Sheets, distributing chemical safety information to customers, and keeping pace with a regulatory environment that is not standing still.

For Caroline and the team new chemical hazard classes such as endocrine disruptors, tighter regulation of PFAS (or ‘forever chemicals’), and the realities of complex international operating models all add pressure to an already demanding function.
